Babylonian Journal of Mechanical Engineering (BJME) is an international, peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and technological innovation in mechanical engineering. The journal aims to publish original, high-quality research—both theoretical and applied—that addresses emerging challenges and fosters sustainable engineering solutions.

BJME covers a broad spectrum of core disciplines, including Mechanical Systems Design, Materials and Manufacturing, Thermal and Fluid Sciences, Robotics and Automation, and Energy Systems. Journal History

Babylonian Journal of Mechanical Engineering (BJME) was established in 2023. Since its inception, the journal has been committed to advancing research and innovation in mechanical engineering, positioning itself as an international, peer-reviewed open-access platform for high-quality scholarly contributions. Through its continuous publication model, BJME ensures the timely dissemination of cutting-edge research across key areas including Mechanical Systems Design, Materials and Manufacturing, Thermal and Fluid Sciences, Robotics and Automation, and Energy Systems, thereby contributing meaningfully to technological progress and engineering excellence.

Publishing Schedule

BJME operates under a continuous publication model. Accepted articles are published online immediately after completion of the editorial and production processes, ensuring the rapid and timely dissemination of research findings without waiting for a scheduled issue release.

Open Access Statement

BJME is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are freely available to read, download, and share immediately upon publication, ensuring unrestricted access for the global research community.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows users to copy, distribute, transmit, adapt, and use the work for commercial and non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the source. Authors retain full copyright of their published work.

No registration is required to access the content, and there is no embargo period delaying access to new articles.

Article Processing Charge

BJME charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1,000 USD to cover the costs of editorial management, peer review, production, online hosting, and long-term archiving, while ensuring immediate open access to the full-text versions of published articles.

The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed the peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication. There are no submission fees; authors may submit their manuscripts free of charge.

At present, we do not offer waivers or discounts for Article Processing Charges.

BJME is indexed in recognized and reputable services to ensure wide visibility, accessibility, and discoverability of its published research. These include:
